This two day seminar on auriculotherapy presents the most recent advances in the utilization of ear reflex points for the alleviation of pain, addiction and stress related disorders. This course provides fundamental knowledge of somatopic correspondence of the physical body to the inverted fetus pattern represented on the external ear. The historical, theoretical, and anatomical localization of the German System of Auriculotherapy will be presented, as well as recent German localizations important to neurological mechanisms of auricular pain relief. Specific auricular treatment plans for the relief of myofascial, visceral and neuropathic pain will be described on the first day, with the second day more focused on substance abuse disorders and psychosomatic distress. Both didactic presentations and hands-on training will facilitate a deeper understanding of the auriculotherapy practices that allow optimal integration to the microsystem of the ear to the macrosystem of the body.
