Course Objectives

  • In-depth analysis of real legal, criminal, safety, and ethical cases
  • Overview of existing and emerging trends of ethics and safety risk for AOM providers
  • Understanding the interrelationship between state and NCCAOM requirements
  •  Establishing and maintaining proper safety manuals and strategies
  • Avoiding common ethical and safety pitfalls for well-intentioned practitioners
  • Attendee interaction and discussion about practicing and representing the profession of acupuncture and Oriental medicine

Acupuncture Students $25.00

Cancellation Policy:

One month prior to seminar date: Full refund minus $25 cancellation fee. One month to one week prior: 60% of tuition will be refunded. Less than one week prior or nonattendance: No refunds.

Hotel Group Rate:  There are many options for places to stay in the downtown Richmond area near the VCU Monroe Campus.  ASVA has a group rate at the Hampton Inn Downtown for $135 plus tax per night. This rate is good for Friday and Saturday night.

 About our Speaker:  

Michael Taromina, Esq. is the Chair of the NCCAOM's Professional Ethics and Disciplinary Committee and the co-author of the Code of Ethics, Grounds of Discipline and Procedures for Upholding Professional Conduct.  he has an extensive background of legal representation, education and advocacy for Acupuncture and oriental Medicine throughout the country.
