Acupuncturists Without
Borders is offering a
comprehensive weekend
training in disaster and
trauma relief work with
15 PDAs accepted by the
NCCAOM as well as 15
CEUs approved by the CA
Acupuncture Board with 4
PDA/CEU in safety and
ethics.
In this training we will
cover how to:

Get started when
there is a disaster
-
Set up mobile field
clinics
-
Create effective
field teams
-
Work with
communities &
individuals after
severe trauma
-
Recognize and manage
acute traumatic
stress
-
Set up a local
Veterans Clinic to
treat veterans and
their families for
trauma and stress
(there will be an
opportunity to
connect with others
who may be
interested in
working with you
locally)
-
Set up a community
acupuncture event in
your local area
-
Perform field work
safely and ethically
Training also includes:

Qi gong instruction
and practice for
reducing stress in
toxic situations
-
Community-style
acupuncture session
to give trainees the
experience of a
mobile group clinic
- as a recipient and
as a practitioner
PDA/CEUs:
Completion of the
training provides 15
PDA/CEUs accepted by
the NCCAOM including
4 PDA/CEUs meeting
the new Ethics and
Safety
requirements.
California CEU's are
also approved and
available.
